Tropical Smoothie Cafe Standardizes Enterprise with MICROS RES 3000

MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS) , a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that Tropical Smoothie Cafe, one of the fastest growing franchise organizations in the quick casual restaurant segment in the United States, has named MICROS RES 3000 the corporate standard, and has begun deployment to all stores. |
The new solution includes MICROS 3700 Point-of-Sale (POS) running on MICROS Workstation 4 touch-screen terminals at the store level, and MICROS Enterprise Management at the corporate level for enterprise-wide menu maintenance. Franchise locations will also have the option to implement the MICROS Kitchen Display System and the mymicros.net business intelligence solution.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe specializes in great wraps and sandwiches as well as smoothies with a variety of flavors. There are currently more than 180 Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations in the United States, and the franchise is growing at a rate of 70-80 new locations per year.
MICROS RES 3000 provides Tropical Smoothie Cafe with advanced features such as Kitchen Display, Combo Pricing, Cash Management, Labor Management, and Product Management. The MICROS Workstation 4 touch-screen terminal runs on Windows(R) CE .NET, offering a lower total cost of ownership over traditional PC workstations. In addition, the menus at all Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations will be controlled by MICROS Enterprise Management, allowing Tropical Smoothie Cafe corporate to manage menus and ensure that all franchisees adhere to the same menu standards throughout the enterprise.
