Ruth's Chris Steak House, Inc. (NASDAQ:RUTH) announces the opening of a new location on the Big Island of Hawaii. Desert Island Restaurants, franchisee for Ruth's Chris Steak House in Hawaii, celebrated the opening of the Mauna Lani location Monday, October 9. |
The newest Ruth's Chris, the first on the Big Island, is in The Shops at Mauna Lani. It joins three award-winning Ruth's Chris Steak Houses in Hawaii -- the premier location in Restaurant Row on Oahu, which opened in 1988, plus two Maui locations, on Front Street in Lahaina and in The Shops at Wailea.
"The Big Island of Hawaii is one of the most beautiful and popular destinations in the world. The Mauna Lani area is blessed with award-winning resorts and unequaled residential developments that have attracted discriminating individuals," said Randy Schoch, chairman of the Scottsdale, Arizona-based Desert Island Restaurants and a former long-time Hawaii resident who divides his time between the Mainland and the Islands.
"We are proud to celebrate the new venture with Desert Island Restaurants, with whom we have enjoyed working with for many years. This newest endeavor is sure to be as successful as the earlier restaurants established in Hawaii," said Dan Hannah, Ruth's Chris Vice President, New Business Development. "Our unique dining experience is a perfect match for the Mauna Lani area," he added.
Guests on the Big Island will now be able to enjoy New Orleans-inspired appetizers, the finest U.S. Prime steaks, fresh seafood and classic desserts, all complemented by an award-winning wine list. Ruth's Chris Steak House Mauna Lani is open for dinner nightly at 5 p.m.
Located on the second floor of the new Shops at Mauna Lani, the restaurant is casual and elegant, warm and inviting. It incorporates the best of contemporary Hawaiian design with a mix of color and textures that evoke a touch of classic, old Hawaii. Seating options take advantage of the spectacular ocean vistas and views of Mauna Kea and Hualalai volcanoes beyond the Mauna Lani Golf Course.
