Hooters Management Corporation Names Melilli as New COO

Neil Kiefer, CEO of Hooters Management Corporation announced today the appointment of Sal Melilli as chief operating officer. Melilli has been in senior management with Hooters Management Corp. for 15 years, most recently as vice president for the 11 Chicago restaurants. |
"We are very excited to have Sal Melilli in this new position and use his years of experience to maintain our strong sales growth record and face the new challenges as we grow and expand," said Kiefer.
In addition Hooters Management Corporation announced that Bill Moore and Steve Baldacci have been named new regional operations vice presidents. Moore will be responsible for the 11 restaurants in the Tampa Bay southern region, while Baldacci takes charge of the 11 locations in the Chicago area, plus the New York City location. Moore and Baldacci, along with Melilli, have been responsible for the great success of Hooters in the Chicago market, where the restaurants consistently rank near the top in sales among the nearly 420 Hooters restaurants.
Kiefer also announced the appointment of Denise Williams as chief marketing officer for Hooters Management Corporation. Williams has been the guiding force behind the marketing and advertising efforts that have been the signature of the Hooters concept.
Hooters Management Corporation operates 23 locations in Tampa Bay, Chicago, and New York City, plus the Hooters Foods retail division and the Midwest themed Pete and Shorty's Restaurant concept.
The Hooters Management Corporation board includes four of the original Hooters Restaurant founders, who opened the original Hooters in Clearwater, Florida in 1983.
