DOT COMS !!!!
Now let me see.... I'm a hotel with rooms to let....
I have property maint., inside and outside, maids that have to be paid the small wages they are, guests that pee the beds, use the toilets as personal hygene disposals, tell me there are 2 people when there are 6, oh, and the comp breakfast in the morning, and oh... what else,,, I guess I have to pay the utilities, cable, taxes, insurance, and oh yea... the employees... how can I forget to pay all the employees at the front desk, in the office, in the laundry, in the yards, and... do that "NO OVERTIME" gimmick thing...but wait, there's more.. the guest says there should be at least 3 people on at all times, hummmm, one to answer the phones, one to take care of other guests and one to take care of just them! And.. since my guests have 6 people in a room with one bed, please send them 4 extra pillows, blankets, sheets, towels, and hummmm, we don't really need them back, they can take them home with them.
Now,,, What do you suppose the guest is willing to pay to stay at this very expensive property ??
I don't know about you but I'm at the point that every time I hear a guest say "I made the reservation on the internet and they guaranteed me everything I wanted!", including the suite that we dont have on this property, I hear 'internet" and turn into Pavlovs dog!
Oh wait.. there's more... then if a .com guest complains to the .com person, person.... well, no comment.... anyway, then I get a call asking what we are going to do about it!! Now look, I know you have to have a warped sense of humor to be in this business but in all seriousness, something has to be done about . coms before the industry has an open hunting season on them.
