First Clarion Hotel Opens In Dominican Republic |

SILVER SPRING, Md. (September 4, 2003) - The first Clarion brand hotel in the Dominican Republic has opened — The Clarion Santo Domingo.
Centrally located in the financial district of the Dominican Republic’s capital city, Santo Domingo, the Clarion Hotel Santo Domingo offers travelers 175 completely remodeled guest rooms including suites and an exclusive Executive Floor.
The hotel features nine meeting rooms with capacities of up to 500 guests, a complete business center, a fully equipped fitness center, on-site restaurants and bars, valet parking, outdoor pool, spa, beauty salon, and laundry service, as well as car and telephone rental services.
Guests visiting the Clarion Hotel Santo Domingo can enjoy the theater, casinos, museums, aquarium and parks all located just minutes from the property.
Each Clarion guestroom features a large work desk with dataports, a two-line telephone, enhanced lighting, free in-room coffee, iron and ironing board, compact refrigerator, hair dryer, and 25-inch television.
Rates begin at $85 (USD). Children ages 18 and under stay free when sharing a room with parents or grandparents. Fifty percent of all rooms are dedicated to non-smokers and all are covered under the 100 percent satisfaction guarantee.
The Clarion Hotel Santo Domingo is owned and operated by Hotelera Naco, one of the most prestigious hotels operators in the Dominican Republic.
There are currently 210 Clarion hotels open and 22 under development, representing 31,917 rooms worldwide. Clarion is one of eight hotel brands franchised by Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE:CHH).
