Wendy's March same-store sales rise 9.9 percent

Wendy's International, Inc. (NYSE:WEN) announced today continued strong sales growth in the third period, ended March 28, 2004.

Same-store sales increased 9.9% at Wendy's(R) U.S. company restaurants and 7.8% at franchised restaurants. On a preliminary basis, same-store sales increased 8.5% at Tim Hortons(R) restaurants in Canada and 13.9% at Tim Hortons in the U.S.
