JW Marriott Denver at Cherry Creek to Open Summer 2004

Located just two miles from Downtown Denver, the upscale neighborhood of Cherry Creek is the new home for the $40 million JW Marriott Denver at Cherry Creek project currently under development by Sunstone Hotel Investors, L.L.C. The new 11-story luxury hotel is the keystone of a development project that includes Janus Funds' world headquarters, retail outlets and condominiums.

Denver, the Mile High City, is the ideal home for JW Marriott's newest hotel. The city has national football, hockey, baseball and basketball franchises, as well as the second largest performing arts complex in the United States. Many Broadway shows open their road tours in the state-of-the-art Bull Theatre. The hotel is located in the upscale Cherry Creek shopping district, where Neiman Marcus, Tiffany and Cartier anchor the famous Cherry Creek Shopping Center. Across the street in Cherry Creek North, shoppers find over 250 specialty boutiques, art galleries and unique restaurants.

The hotel will feature 196 oversized guestrooms, including a penthouse-level presidential suite, four one-bedroom suites and two concierge-level floors. All rooms are designed to meet the needs of business travelers with high-speed Internet access, 27" flat screen TVs, portable phones and large desks with ergonomic chairs. The residential-style four-piece bathrooms feature glass-enclosed showers, separate tubs and oversized granite countertops atop custom-made cherry vanities.

In addition, the hotel will feature a restaurant and bar managed by the award-winning team behind Denver's acclaimed Adega Restaurant + Wine Bar, featuring the signature American-style cuisine of Chef Bryan Moscatello, named one of Food & Wine magazine's 2003 Best New Chefs in America.

A grand staircase will lead to the second floor meeting and conference facilities, where groups as small as 10 will enjoy the wood-paneled boardroom complete with plasma screen TV and high-speed Internet connectivity. For larger groups, the hotel will offer three meeting spaces, plus a dividable ballroom for up to 300.

The JW Marriott Denver at Cherry Creek will be the first JW Marriott in Colorado and will join a global collection of the most distinctive and elegant hotels bearing the Marriott name.
