Week-long Sales Mission and Trade Show to Visit Three U.S. Cities
MCLEAN, VA (Sept. 11, 2003) Connecting international buyers to international suppliers in a unique marketplace event of sales, education and networking is what HSMAIs World Quest Trade Mission will deliver when the week-long event debuts March 21-27, 2004.
Partnering with Association Management Group (AMG), HSMAI will deliver this all-inclusive, pre-packaged trade mission that will encompass an exhibit venue, networking reception and top-quality educational seminars on international meeting planning in three key markets Washington, DC, Chicago and New York City (see schedule of events below).
In this unique sales-driven mission, international suppliers will have a rare opportunity to meet and do business with qualified corporate, association and government buyers and producers who book business outside of the United States. The three-city sales event is designed for a small and highly targeted exhibitor base to connect with very qualified planners who book international meetings.
We have been evaluating this concept for some time, and we are so pleased to partner with AMG to bring this initiative to fruition, states Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHA, president and CEO of HSMAI. This sales mission promises to fill a void in the marketplace of international meeting planning, and HSMAI is pleased to partner with AMG who will be managing the operations and logistics of the event.
As the largest operator of meetings trade show with its extensive portfolio of HSMAIs Affordable Meetings and HSMAIs Meetings Quest shows, HSMAI now enters the international business arena with the launch of HSMAIs World Quest. This will bring to 12 the number of HSMAI meetings industry events.
Association Management Group (www.amg-inc.com) is an association management company providing full-service management to national and international organizations, including HSMAI and the Convention Industry Council (CIC). AMG also provides expertise in meeting management and public relations through its divisions, Meetings Management Group (MMG) and Communication Management Group. AMG is owned and managed by industry veteran J. Bruce Wardle, CAE, and MMG is led by Liz Jackson, vice president.
