Darden Restaurants Says Red Lobster, Olive Garden October Same-Store Sales Rise

Darden Restaurants Inc. said Thursday that October same-store sales rose at both its Red Lobster and Olive Garden restaurants.

Same-store sales, or sales at restaurants open at least one year, at Red Lobster seafood restaurants rose between 9 percent and 10 percent as total customers increased 6 percent to 7 percent. The average check rose about 3 percent, mostly from changes to the menu mix, the company said.
