Variety is new flavor in vending machines
Vending machines have gone from the hungry office worker's last resort to a hot food destination.
And they're not even called vending machines these days. Try "Automated Diner" or "Pronto Cafe, Your Corner Coffeehouse."
"We like to think of them as mini-restaurants," said Tim Rech, business director for Kraft Foods, which has developed a machine dubbed the Carryout Cafe that spits out a warm Tombstone pizza or Oreo-topped brownies in just under 90 seconds.
